Freestyle Palace is doing it's last burn at Coracle 2025. As with many great things, we started with a vision. Now, after tens of thousands of satisfied "customers", a culture of stewardship of the artist in everyone, civic responsibility, and numerous spin-off projects that have honored us as their genesis, it is finally time to complete the vision. Many of the founding members are humbled by the 20 year wave. Thanks to all the people who kept the fire alive this whole time.  

For those performers excited to be included in the official "Default world" event, please fill out the form below. We are primarily looking for improvisation performers, musicians and designers for our sets and costumes. If you are not comfortable in these domains, we still want to radically include you after our initial launch.

Our first stop, The Plant.  Technically named, 2200 Studio, it is just a 5 minute walk from the Geodesic Traveler California headquarters. Yes, that Plant. There are still plaques on the wall from Too-Short, Sly Stone (he designed the bathroom), Metallica, Primus, Jefferson Airplane, Rick James and more. It is our position that the Freestyle Palace deserves a place at this epic location and in the history that comes with it.

Thanks to the members of the Geodesic Traveler Cooperative for giving us a Cooperative home, so that no one person can have too much influence over the art we make. If anyone can find a better community structure that honors the artists, let us know. Over the last 200 plus years Cooperatives have an unmatched track record for equitable enterprise for and by the people. (Note: in the show The Wire, Marlo did not have a Cooperative spirit. It would have been better to include Omar).  Cooperatives in the Burning Man community are trending for a reason, and the Org has given their blessing. 

Lastly, if you are interested in investing in Freestyle Palace in a way that understands the Cooperative idea, but also, gives you some extra benefit or leverage because you happen to have more investment capital, then you don't understand Cooperatives.
